Hello, my name is J. Bryan Rees. I graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis,
Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts in the Humanities and am currently completing my Master's in Secondary Education
with an endorsement in Mathematics at George Washington University.
I have spent the last year interning at Edison High School in Alexandria, Virginia where I have
been able to familiarize myself with as much of the "ins" and "outs" of teaching as I possibly could. The internship
experience ranged from observing classes, to emergency substitute teaching, to scheduled substitute teaching, to "bit teaching"
(during which I tought one Algebra II class for two weeks), to student teaching (during which I tought two Algebra II classes,
AP AB Calculus, and IB Computer Science for approximately six weeks).
This past summer I was also fortunate to be able to teach Geomety in summer school. This
experience was great for me as it gave me the opportunity to cover the entire Geometry curriculum (basically allowing me a
year's worth of experience in five weeks).
